Valentine Affirmation Cards

Lately I have been teaching my little babe, Hayes, different affirmations like, “I am kind, I am brave!'“ I see his face light up with pride as he loudly repeats the phrases. My heart melts to watch him express each affirmation with such joy and confidence. It’s why I made these little affirmation cards for Valentine’s Day—but it also had me thinking, these aren’t just for kids! I honesty think the adults in the world could use a little more self-love, especially after these last few years.

IDEAS FOR GIVING

🤍these cards are so cute to help boost kids’ confidence—add to their Valentine’s Day basket, put a card in their lunchbox the week of the holiday, stick on their bathroom mirror or create a “breadcrumb” path of cards leading to their Valentine’s Day breakfast

🤍have your babes write or draw a message to friends or neighbors on the back and personally hand them out

🤍pair with a teacher gift (hello coffee!)

🤍drop a card on YOUR friend’s doorstep with a coffee, place one in their mailbox or add one tucked into their windshield to offer them a reminder as to how great they are!

🤍keep some on hand when you go out and hand them to strangers (or a more socially distant option, leave them in your favorite aisles of Target or the grocery store!)

IDEAS FOR CREATING CARDS

  1. cut in strips of 3 and fold in an accordion style

  2. cut individually and add a hole punch in the corner to string decorative ribbon

  3. cut individually and punch two holes at the top to create a loop so you can hang on a doorknob
